ILLUSTRATION: When it comes to creating, anything goes as far as I'm concerned. Ink, paint, pastel, pencil or digital. I'll use it all. What I usually do is start with a drawing. I take that image into Photoshop or Illustration and convert it into a vector file. Then I can use it as and where I like across all different print mediums.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Photography is not something I do professionally. I just like to take photos. And when I'm out and about, living my life I snap away. Then, on occasion I'll be needing an image for something I'm designing (like these Whitianga Hotel Menus), and there's the perfect one.
It starts off as one of many pics taken of the orcas that day they swam into the harbour
And it becomes the perfect background I didn't know I needed
